Over the years, the conference has seen an increase in critical minerals content, reflecting the energy transition objectives of organizations and governments around the world. As a result, BMO has rebranded the conference to the Global Metals, Mining & Critical Minerals Conference.

IRTC25 is a global network for sharing research results with the focus on critical raw materials. Topics include the global mineral raw material markets, from exploration towards sustainable mining processing, manufacturing, and modeling future demand and supply.

The Raw Materials Week is the largest policy event on raw materials, organised by the European Commission since 2016. It attracts over 1,000 participants from industry, administration, civil society, research and academia.
