Sokli Oy, owned by Finnish Minerals Group, is advancing a mining project in Savukoski, located in Lapland, Finland. A new website, available at www.sokli.fi, offers a closer look at the project.
The Sokli mineral deposit is globally unique due to its diversity. These resources could significantly strengthen domestic raw material production and enhance Europe’s self-sufficiency in critical raw materials. Sokli has the potential to double Europe’s phosphate production and meet up to 80% of the EU’s annual niobium demand. Additionally, its annual production of rare earth elements (REE) could support the manufacturing of 1,500 new wind turbines or batteries for approximately two million full-electric vehicles.
We are surveying the area’s mineral resources and the profitability of mining operations comprehensively. On the website, you can explore the geology of the Sokli deposit and the project plans, as well as our news. The FAQ section addresses common questions about Sokli.
Our goal is to provide a broad range of up-to-date information on the project’s progress. We actively update and improve the website, incorporating feedback from our various stakeholders.
